Mahankal rural municipality ward no. in the southeast part of Lalitpur. 6.Thuladurlung has distributed coffee plants to the ward residents. Ward Chairman Vined Chairell informed that on Thursday 13th June, the ward office gathered the locals and distributed coffee plants. He informed that coffee plants have been distributed to 155 families of the ward in coordination with the District Coffee Traders Association with the aim of making the ward residents self-reliant and increasing local production.
While giving a speech after the distribution of the plants, the vice president of the village, Delmamayan Gayle, said that this work done by the ward office will help to improve the living standards of the local community.
“This is a great work to make the villagers financially strong. It will help to increase local production, increase in income, and create employment opportunities. I believe that this step will contribute significantly to the development of the agricultural sector of Mahankal Rural Municipality.” Vice President Ge said.
“We have allocated a budget of 150,000 from the ward office for the distribution of plants, 4,600 coffee plants were distributed with the same amount on Thursday, and there is a program to distribute 1,000 litchi plants on June 17. We are trying to make our community self-sufficient. Coffee farming will make the villagers financially strong” He informed.
